Guitar manía 2008, In Convento dos Capuchos

From the 3rd until the 8th of February took place the 4th Edition of the Guitar Mania – The international Festival of Classic Guitar.

A prestigious event that offered a series of musical activities, from concerts to master classes to the international championship of Classic Guitar. The Convento dos Capuchos received some of the initiatives of this festival. With the purpose of celebrating the 450 years of Convento dos Capuchos, this edition of the international classic guitar festival, organized by the graduates’ in Music of the ISEIT of the university campus of Almada, the town hall (Camara Municipal de Almada) also joined these celebrations, taking place a series of concerts in this monumental art building.

With free entrance, the concerts which took place in Convento dos Capuchos received prestigious Classic Guitar players from all over the world - Carlo Marchione, Marco Sócias, Dejan Ivanovich & Camerata do Tejo or Kresimir Bedek & Duo Concentus, offering an interesting mixed of Portuguese culture with world wide music.
